An ore train of the Butte, Anaconda and Pacific Railway crosses over a Milwaukee Road freight near Butte, Mont., about 1916. The successful electrification of the BA&P greatly influenced the Milwaukee in its decision to electrify throughout the mountains of Montana, Idaho and Washington.
