This flat car was used in the North Shore's experimental truck trailer on flat car service. Trucks drove onto the flat cars using ramps between cars and one at the end, much like circus trains. The cars were then moved, and the process was reversed at the other end. This service was not very profitable however, and was discontinued. The car then spent the remainder of its life in standard service, tranporting wheels between shops and such. After abandonment it was sold to the CTA, where it became S107 or S108.
