The Union Pacific Railroad brought a large contingent of its business car fleet to Philadelphia for the 2000 Republican National Convention.
Traveling on the CSX River and Trenton lines and arriving July 23, 2000, the cars and the two E9A's that accompanied them were spotted just east of the
convention site, to be used for entertaining members of Congress and delegates attending the convention. The entire train departed Philadelphia
on August 4, 2000, returning to Chicago by the same route.
