The complexity of the work is evident here and the disruption to businesses obviously considerable. One such business is seen here on Bay Street just north of Front, Murray's Restaurant, a landmark restaurant, an affordable place to eat and just about the only place in downtown open late, late being about midnight or 1-2 A.M. January 25, 1950.
