Sweet Caporal Cigarettes

Dating from 1878 in the United States and 1887 in Canada Sweet Caps were sold in Canada for over 125 years until 2011. At the time of the formation of Imperial Tobacco Company of Canada in 1908 Sweet Caps had 50 per cent of the market!
Imperial was famous for its Player's brand.

Flat 50 tin a popular container sold by many brands as a choice
other than the usual 20 cigarettes size cardboard package.

Note the Canada excise tax adhesive stamp sealing the container.
The stamp had to be destroyed to open the tin or pack.
