The Big Yellow Taxi

The Yellow Cab is sung about in an old Joni Mitchell song Big Yellow Taxi.

I heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi
Come and took away my old man
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
‘Til it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

There is a double meaning to these words. One is that is wasn't a taxi but a police cruiser! At the time Metropolitan Toronto Police had a fleet of yellow cars that primarily responded to accident scenes.
