Essex Terminal

Number 9 would be come the last ETR steam engine. 1946
It would go on to become famous after being preserved and restored to operation by
Southern Ontario Locomotive Restoration Society (SOLRS) founded by David Spiegelman.
It first operated out of the former Michigan Central back shop in St. Thomas over CASO and elsewhere.
When abandonment threatened to isolate the St.Thomas Central as it was known operations were relocated
to St. Jacobs as the Waterloo Central where it still operates in tourist service by SOLRS.
