A Pacific Railway & Navigation Co. work train has the pile driver at work near Barview, OR in this vintage view. Judging by the ammount of debris strewn around the tracks, this undated photo was probably taken after some sort of winter storm, which lashed the area frequently before the construction of the jetty and seawall that dominate the same scene today. The white building at right is the former US Coast Guard lifesaving station, which still stands today. Photo courtesy Wheeler Station &Tiques.
