Photo of the Month - January, 2004

Happy New Year! We'll get the new year started with a mystery! You see, for many many years, a string of former SP (?) bilevels have been stored in the Port of Pasco's industrial park. The line once numbered close to 10-12, but has dwindled down to three on my last visit, including this one which is lettered for the Port of Tillamook Bay. The round emblem by the doors reads "Cruise Train" with a coach number. This one is no. 1. I've seen similarly painted cars on the Alaska Railroad, and also two former Metra (CNW) bilevels in the back lot of Colorado Railcar, which of used to operated in Tillamook.

So anyhow, my question is two-fold. For one, does anybody know if this car was ever used on the POTB, and if so, what for? Secondly, can anyone tell me who actually owned/owns this car? Thanks a lot for anybody's help. Photo by Jody Moore. Nov., 2003.
