Cochran — Eastbound train with POTB 4414, 4406 and 4432 climbs upgrade near Cochran.

Dairy Creek — Eastbound train with POTB 4432, OLMX 200 and OMLX 201 rolls across Dairy Creek Trestle.

Timber — A stately wig-wag salutes as POTB 4406, 4368 and 101 pass westbound across the Timber Road crossing in March, 1999 with 13 cars in tow.

MP 798 — The same westbound again grinding uphill at milepost 798 on the way to Cochran. Listen here because the traction motor noise is great.

Five steamers — You read it right! Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad's May, 1997 railfan open house special pounds up the 2.5 percent grade at the Mineral "S" curve with five live steamers on the drawbar. Consist is Pickering Lbr. Co. 11 (Pacific Coast Shay), Hillcrest Lumber Co. 10 (3 truck Climax), MRSRR 91 (former Kinzua Pine Mills 3 truck Heisler), Hammond Lumber Co. 17 (2-8-2T) and Chehalis, Cowlitz and Cascade 15 (2-8-2).
