Report on Rahway Valley Railroad
August 1944

Over Vauxhall Road. One span deck plate girder bridge for one track. Girders 47'-0" long. Underclearance 12'-5" (painted on bridge). Condition good. Ties fair, no renewals necessary at this time.

The second of the three bridges along the Rahway Valley Line, on it's way to Maplewood, was its crossing of Vauxhall Road (RVL MP 1.43). A deck plate girder bridge, it was constructed in 1915 as part of the construction of the branch line to Maplewood.

After the railroad closed in 1992 the bridge was removed, subsequently both abutments and the RVRR's embankment were removed. No trace of the railroad exists at this location today.
