- Former LIRR Alco FA-1 Cab Car # 617. This was built in 1947 as # 0428 for The New Haven Railroad. It was purchased from Scrapper in New Jersey, and arrived at the Danbury Railway Museum on 11/5/99. The trucks have been "borrowed" for use on an Alco Switcher. Danbury Railway Museum, Danbury Conn. 7/6/02.

- A view of the yaw damper bracket (on MARC HHP-8 # 4912), the triangular part of a shock absorber, black and silver in the center of the photo, that is attached to the carbody by seven bolts.- The function of the yaw dampers is to prevent swaying, which can increase wear and tear to rails and train wheels. Engineers haven't pinpointed the reason why the brackets on the high-tech shock absorbers are cracking. 2/2/02
