On 22 May 2010 a special train was operated by 12D Railtours between Workington (Main) and York, using DRS pullman stock used for the "Floodex" special service between Workington and Maryport during the rebuilding of several road bridges destroyed by flooding in 2009. The train also called at the temporary station at Workington north, the only excursion to do so. Outward the journey travelled via the Tyne Valley line, the ECML and the Stillington freight line because of an incident at Darlington. Return was via the ECLM and the Tyne Valley line. One unusual portion of the route was to take the train via the Carlisle Goods lines, missing Citadel station. As a result a large number of people boarded the train at Dalston, the first station out of Carlisle on the West Cumbria line. The train is seen here leaving Dalston on the return journey, heading for Workington (Main). The train loco is 37057, and the loco idling at the rear of the train is 47712 "Pride of Carlisle".
