SEPTEMBER 2004
The mainline is completed and we get trains running again

09/08/04:  By this date I had all the sidings installed, all the track ballasted, and most of the buildings set out again.  I purchased a bunch of dwarf Alberta Spruce trees and herbs and got them planted, and applied Cocoa mulch for a ground cover.
I put the finishing touches on the waterfall and stream and got the mill and waterwheel working again.

9/21/04:  More plants were added, including a number of dwarf conifers and cypress varieties I purchased from Appalachian Gardens.  I got the rest of the buildings out, and made some roads out of sand.
Joey went to work putting all the people and vehicles out on the layout.  He spent a lot of time getting all the little people and animals set up "just so".

9/25/04:  Two of the three Garden Metal Models bridges I needed came in and I set them in place.  The piers are still temporary, and I didn't install the walkways yet, but they still looked good.
We also held our inauguration open house when we were part of a layout tour organized by the Susquehanna Valley Garden Railway Society.
