In the early 80's N&W had a controlling interest in the D&H
railway. N&W units were often loaned to the power short D&H.

NW 4107 was one of a handfull of units to sport a short lived paint
scheme which was developed to make the N&W units look more like the
Southern units after the merger with SOU. Eventually a plain black
scheme replaced both railroads paint schemes |
