There are two easy ways to subscribe the first is to visit the web page at:
http://www.egroups.com/list/class37/info.html
or to send a blank email to:
If you have any trouble subscribing to the list then contact myself at class37-owner@egroups.com and I will automatically subscribe you.
Normal and Digest
Subscription:
The normal version allows you to receive emails as soon as someone sends them to the list. Egroups is very efficient at passing messages on with usually less than a minute from sending the message to receiving it. Much less time than some other lists! The digest version allows you to receive all the emails sent to the list in a digest once a day.
To switch to the normal version send a blank email to:
To switch to the digest version send a blank email to:
If you ever wish to un-subscribe from the list then please send a blank email to:
class37-unsubscribe@egroups.com
Please contact me at class37-owner@egroups.com with your reason for un-subscribing to enable me to improve the list further if you are unhappy. Any feedback is also welcome.
Here is some advice on posting messages that will hopefully provide useful and enable everyone to get the gen.
|
1, |
First and foremost obey by the rules and regulations, |
|
2, |
Keep messages short and sweet, make sure the gen is at the top of the message to make sure mobile phone subscribers get all the gen. |
|
3, |
Please time and date stamp all the gen as sometimes email servers switch to go slow and it can be literally days for emails to arrive! |
Subscribing mobile phones
to the list:
The best free service available on all networks for receiving emails is the Genie service. Originally for BT Cellnet users it has recently been extended to all networks. For more information visit http://www.genie.co.uk.
To subscribe mobile phone's to the list and you have the ability of sending emails from your phone as well as receiving them then please visit the Egroups web site at http://www.egroups.com and register your mobile phone with Egroups. Don't worry about registering your phone you will not get sent any other messages other than those from the class 37 mailing list. Once registered go to http://www.egroups.com/list/class37/info.html and subscribe to the list from there. You will need to reply to a confirmation email sent to you by Egroups as a security measure. If you do not have the ability to reply to the email from your phone then please contact myself and I will manually subscribe you.
There are several ways in posting gen to a list from a mobile phone. Below is a quick guide on how to post gen from a mobile phone to the list.
From Cellnet Phones:
There are two services available for sending email messages from BT Cellnet mobile phones. The first is the Evolving Office sms to email gateway maintained in Finland. You DO NOT have to subscribe your phone for sending messages to the mailing list if using evolving office.
To send a message type the message as follows:
c37 (message)
This does not allow a subject line to be sent as part of the message but as most mobiles do not receive the subject line then this isn't important. Once complete send the message to +358405174761.
Example message:
c37 37402 11:03 Weymouth - BTM
For more information visit: http://www.oeoe.fi/testsms.html
The second service available for BT Cellnet users is BWARE eXcell. This offers an excellent service with many configurations available although the service has a habit of not working on Sundays!
To send a message type 'EMAIL' followed by a space then the email address followed by a space followed by a full stop followed by a subject followed by a full stop followed by the message as below:
EMAIL class37@egroups.com .(subject).(message)
Please keep the subject short to allow more room for the message. Send the message to +393388641732
Example message:
EMAIL class37@egroups.com .gen.37025 to be
transferred to France on 12:10 ex Wembley today
For more information visit: http://www.bware.it/excell
From One2One Phones:
The best service to use for One2One mobiles is the Andrews & Arnold SMS to email gateway they provide. The service is fast and reliable and easy to use. It may also be possible to use on other networks although this has not been tested.
To send a message type:

Remember to leave a space between the email address and your message. Once completed send your message to 07973577510.
Example message:
