1. August Krieger, was born Dec 1853 in Germany. He married Catherine Effinger in 1879. (She was born in Pa)

There is some question as to Catherine's maiden name. Daugthers Gertrude and Helen have it as Effinger in their obituaries, but daughter Catherine has it as Oeffinger in hers
The Second Generation
2. Anna K. Krieger (1) was born in Altoona on Mar 1881.
She married Ernest Gremminger (son of Charles F. and Mary Gremminger) on 19 July 1910 (Blair Co Marriage Records, Vol 32, p 118). He was born 1880.
They are buried together in Calvary Cemetary, Logan Township, Altoona, Pa.
3. Gertrude R. Krieger (1) was born in Altoona on 15 June 1883, and died on 5 Oct 1970 at Altoona Hospital.
She married Charles W. Zorger in 1923 (Blair Co Marriage Records, Vol 42, p 402). He died 8 Apr 1952.
4. Mary M. Krieger (1) was born in Altoona in July 1885.
She died 1975
She married Francis Ganzenhuber (1883-1951).

5. Clara E. Krieger (1) was born in Altoona in May 1887, and died on 3 Oct 1970 in Altoona.
She married a Huber.
6. Catherine E. Krieger (1) was born in Altoona on 23 Dec 1891, and died on 30 Sept 1980.
She married John Bauer (son of Xavier and Theresa Bauer). He was born in Bavaria on 19 June 1887. He died 9 Sept 1964. They are both buried at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.

7. Helen Elizabeth Krieger (1) was born in Altoona on 21 August 1894, and died on 22 April 1982 in Manistee County, Michigan. She is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Altoona, Pa.
She married Joseph Bauer on 25 Nov 1918 (Blair Co Marriage Records, Vol 40, p 272). He died 1955.

9. Catherine E. Bauer (6)(1) was
born in Altoona on 12 June 1917. She married Frederick A. Yost (son of Harry Martin Yost and Esther May Courter) on 30 Dec 1939. Frederick was born 17 April 1912, and died 20 Nov 1991, both in Altoona. Catherine died 15 April 1994 in Altoona. They are both interred at the Calvary Mausoleum in Altoona.
