Hagerstown has been known as Hub City, and still can honestly claim that name. Several railroads own track or have running rights through town, most run right next to the WM roundhouse and our Museum.
Three Class 1 roads, CSX, Conrail and Norfolk Southern have interchange yards and facilities in Hagerstown.
Obviously, we are closely watching the merger news between Conrail, CSX and NS.
