Alaska Train Photos - Paul Yorke - May 1999
Here is a fixer upper. Spotted in the center of the small town of Chitina. Looks like it has been there for a while.

Many towns in Alaska were only accessable by rail, air or water.  Roads are a recent thing. Some towns are still waiting, and some towns don't want them.
