Portable Layout Part 5
There is still lots of work to do.  Here is some shots I took Sunday 11/26/00.

If you shoot from the right angle it almost looks complete.

I had to adjust the track elevation, and ended up with a vertical face.  I used joint compound and spatula.  After it was 90% dry I ruffed it up with a small wire brush.  Then after it dryed, I painted it with gray and black water colors.  I added some shrubs to make the transition from face to turf.  I need to go back and flock the surface below the shrub line.

The house is hiding the bolt that is the handle.  I suspect I will use something else to hide it in the end.  On the back side of the vertical adjustment, I used brown flocking,   To get it on that face I put it on a sheet of paper and gently blew it onto the surface.  It needs more attention.
You an also see that all the outside is still in need of flocking.  I might have to break out my little compressor to spray flock onto the mountain sides.

Gravel between the roadbeds. It looks like I need some whiter gravel to match the s-helper.  This is 'Buff' colored ballest with some Talus (Rock debris) that is larger and the correct color.  More adjustment is needed. The rails & ties need to be wiped off, that extra flocking is not glued there.
