We see many single examples of railroads that we'd like to include in the Gallery. We've compiled them together here.

COE 1136 - the former MoPac 1136 (believed to have been origianlly assigned to Kansas City, MO) at Herrin, IL. The former MP SW-1200 is now on the Crab Orchard & Egyptian Railroad in Marion, IL.Ê#1136 and #1147 were delivered to the CO&E September, 1986 still in full MP paint. "I spent a considerable amount of time removing 7 coats of MP Jenks blue from the 1136 while employed by the CO&E before it was sent back to PNC for repainting." The original MoPac marker lights are still on the CO&E units.Ê#1147 also still retained its markers while on the CO&E.ÊThe CO&E had originally thought about renumbering the #1136 to #13, #1147 to #14, and #1161 to #16 (eliminating the first and last digits of the original numbers) but they decided against this practice before they started painting the units. The CO&E had also thought about painting them in the same scheme as the 35 ton Davenport.ÊBlack with white lettering and trim.Ê |

Wheeling & Lake Erie SD40-2 - was built as MoPac SD40 #725. It was later renumbered to MP 3025, and then became UP 4025. It was later sold to WC/Oxford and became a permanent road unit on the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway. - Photo Courtesy of the Wheeling & Lake Erie unofficial web site. |
