DSSRRC Member's Layouts
Bill Mixon

Back                          Home

Bill is instrumental in forming the news ACSG division, the Delaware Division. These photos were taken by Scott Brown of the W&OD division during a visit to Bill's Eastern Shore home for the division's first work session to build modules.
I usually try to limit photos of member's layouts to 3, but found that too hard to do with this layout. Bill's layout seems to be one of those between temporary toy and detailed scale. Whatever one choses to call it, we call it gorgeous. A favorite feature is the live candle in the petroleum refinery, Bill's grandson's idea.
Another unique feature is the skirting which looks like cliffs. Bill mixes fine models, scratch-built buildings and Gilbert, and other makes of, operating accessories.
The last photo shows the power for this huge layout. Again, a mixture of vintage Gilbert and current production electronic power. We look forward to the Delaware Division's first show with their new modules.
