Texas Railroad Sesquicentennial: D-FW area

As part of an effort to help promote passenger rail service in the D-FW area, Colorado Railcar's DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) was on display in Frisco, Texas on September 7, 2003.

The town of Frisco was named for the official "nickname" of the St. Louis - San Fransisco Railway, along whose tracks it was located, and references to the railroad can be found throughout the town. Note in the photo, the water tower in the background, which displays the Frisco's "Coonskin" emblem.
