In March 2002, an eastbound UP freight crosses the Rio Grande from New Mexico into Texas. In a few minutes, the train will arrive at UP's El Paso yard.

UP's bridges over the Rio Grande are located near the intersection of Paisano Dr. and Executive Center Blvd. At this point, the Rio Grande is the dividing line between Texas and NEW Mexico; just south of this location, a dam on the river marks the international border between Mexico and New Mexico. South of the dam, the river designates the international border between Mexico and Texas.
