On September 29, 1996, Santa Fe C30-7 8158 leads four EMD units on westbound BNSF train
H-ALBA (Alliance, TX to Barstow, CA) between Tecific and Sweetwater, Texas. It would be almost a year before the newly
merged BNSF Railway would adopt the seven-letter train symbol system that is still in
use today. |
