Photo of the Month: September 2006
On Labor Day (September 5) 2005, UP 5076 leads a westbound stack train through Weatherford, Texas on the UP Baird Subdivision.
This is the former Texas & Pacific main line between Ft Worth and El Paso. In the wake of the 1996 UP-SP merger,
the former T&P line across Texas has become an important corridor
for intermodal traffic moving between California and the southern and southeastern U.S. (mainly the Dallas and Memphis markets).
