Wichita, Tillman & Jackson operates approximately 100 miles of trackage in the Red River
Valley region of north Texas and southwestern Oklahoma. Principal traffic is grain,
agricultural commodities, and chemicals.
WTJR's line extends northwest from Wichita Falls (where it connects with BNSF) into
Oklahoma, connecting with Farmrail, BNSF, and the Hollis & Eastern at
Altus, Oklahoma; and with Grainbelt at Frederick, OK. WTJR also
operates a branch line (disconnected from the rest of its system) that
runs 24 miles west to Walters, Oklahoma from a connection with UP's Duncan Subdivision at
Waurika.
WTJR's engine house and headquarters are located in Wichita Falls, Texas.
WTJR's locomotive roster consists entirely of ex-Santa Fe and ex-CNW GP7s.
Wichita, Tillman, & Jackson is owned by the Rio Grande Pacific Corporation, which also
manages the Idaho, Northern & Pacific; New Orleans & Gulf Coast; and the Nebraska
