The following morning, July 31, 1999, we find Delaware & Hudson GP38-2 7312 powering a passenger extra over the New England Central at Brattleboro, Vermont. The 7312 was sent to Bellows Falls for Transpo '99 by D&H parent Canadian Pacific.

On the north end of the passenger special is Green Mountain Railroad GP40 302. The northbound trip is crossing the Saxtons River just south of Bellows Falls and is viewed from the New Hampshire side of the Connecticut River.

TT2908

Next on the schedule is Amtrak's southbound Vermonter. Amtrak F40PH 265 is ready to duck into the New England Central's tunnel under downtown Bellows Falls.

TT2909

Heading north, we pick up the southbound Green Mountain Flyer passing the covered bridge at Bartonsville. RS1 405 is in charge of the train.

TT2910

We overtake the Flyer again as it skirts the Connecticut River just north of Bellows Falls.
