Metropolitan Locomotive and Train at Neasden

Met loco at NN.jpg (38606 bytes)

Metropolitan Railway electric locomotive of 1922 and train with compartment coaches dating from 1910-23. The Metropolitan considered itself a main line railway and its rolling stock reflected this.   Locomotive haulage of trains persisted until 1961.

One locomotive of the original batch of 20 of this type has been preserved in working condition and is sometimes used for special runs.
