Aug. 29, 2002. Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (GWI) (Nasdaq: GNWR) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the Utah Railway Company (UTAH), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mueller Industries, Inc. (NYSE: MLI). GWI funded the $54 million cash purchase under its $103 million revolving credit facility. The official date is October 1, 2002.
