Well it finally seems I'm getting bck into the railroading habit after a brief sabbatical. Only about 8 months, but I really don;t consider it time wasted, I was merely experienceing other modeling genres and encountering new techniques.  I've decided that my hobby isn;t so much Model Railroading as Model Building and all the disciplnes that that entails.  Having a nifty bit of railraoding to show for it is just a pleasant fact too.   Someday I'll get around to showing off some of my subsidiary interests.

The tankcar is languishing in unfinishedness, just not interested in it right now, however a few weeks ago I was inspired to clean and reorganize The Shop into a more logical work environment.  I now have three dedicated work areas; one for card modeling, one for styrene fabrication and casting, and the large bench for heavy wood construction.  Seems this restored my interest in working on 'stuff' and I decided to work on my long planned EBTesque boxcar.   Thus far I have assembleds the sub frameing, applied a styrene cladding and the structural shapes associated with the design.  I need to begin a write up for documentation in "The Shops" section soon.  I think I have a pretty good idea how to make the roof simple, yet look authentic, perhaps I'll get  a chance to work on it this evening.

Unfortunate real world events leave me unable to attend the East Caost Large Scale Train Show at York this year.  I'm hoping this might leave me a little aside to finish up the staging tracks and begin Phase II construction of a loop around the garden plot.  Would be nice to have the weather to finish up the Engine terminal area as well
