Grand glamorous day to wake up to snow. Yuck. I've decided on at least two more steel boxes after the current one. Ordered the appropriate styrene shapes from Hobbylinc.com on Monday, hoping to see the stuff by first of next week. I need anpther sheet of luan to turn out some more wooden hoppers, but finishing this boxcar will take priority for right now. I got a couple new things I wanna try fro the grabs, and have hit upon an idea useing a 1/8" disc and some slightly smaller hex rod to make up bolt heads for the grabs. I might even try making the grabs from styrene if I can make the robust enough. some testing is required.
