Like the 7/8 scale line, the TF&E is designed as a coal hauler, with a few adjuct industries alongside to support it.  The layout is divided into 3 electrical blocks wired into two seperate cabs.  Two trains can be run on different parts at the same time, but generally its just little ol' me.  East Port Lavender is the interchange with the outside world, right now the interchange won;t be modeled, cars going into and out of the railroad will do so on a fiddle track.  Midway is the original "Anniebird Central" module based on a modified TIMESAVER and will have a couple of industries to switch, while Anniebird is the main mining concern and pretty much the lines whole reason for existance.

The dropleaf section beyond Anniebird crosses the doorway of the room and increases the yard capacities.  This section is only deployed when actually operating.

ANNIEBIRD
Anniebird is the primary reason for the railroad to exist.   Western Consolidated Coal's Anniebird No1 mine and tipple are located here, as well as a coking facility.  The tipple runs along the backdrop while the min conveyor and slack bin are located between the Anniebird section and the dropleaf, providing a visual break between there and the largely unsceniced dropleaf section.  The coke facilities I decided were too extensive to model realistically in the space I have avalible , so they are represented by a staging track.  As with the prototype it will receive loads of slack coal and ship out carloads of coke.  The Commmissary is also represented by a staging track on the dropleaf, this may be upgraded to a set of building flats on a removable backdrop at some point in the future.

Railroad facilities at Anniebird include an engine house for the Shay switcher thats stationed here, as well as a turntable and water tower for turning andd servicing the road engines that power the mixed trains and coal drags.
