July saw a bit of progress being made, but a few steps backwards too.  No4 joined the roster as did Combine 02.  Had to fix a lot of track to accomodat the 4-6-0, shes a lot mor finicky than the Shay is!  Also had the 'Great Flood of 01' which saw two periods in the same day where we were blessed with 1.5 inches of rainfall in a half an hour!

No4 leads a special excursion train for the JRVP's birthday outta Rostree headed towards Anns Creek No4 slowing to a stop in order to enter Anns Creek Yard.
After making sure that the switch is set, the train pulls into the yard. The whole special and her crew is visible in this shot!  Happy Birthday Annie!
And doesn;t the JRVP look pleased with herself after discovering the Special train run in her honor! Gons and flats look like they're becoming barges and rafts as the Great Flood of 2001 is on!!!
As you can see here, the tracks are under a coupla inches of water at this point.  The drainage system was completely overwhelmed! Even Cassville Yard, which is usually High and dry got more than its fair share of wet stuff!
Water flows like a river along the tracks at Rosetree Junction.  No that section of track wasn;t washed out.  It was still waiting to be installed. This flooded ditch is the track where the mine , tipple, warehouse, and Commissary buildings will be located!
Its an early misty morning as No4 leaves Cassville with Combine 02.  No freight today, just a run up to Anns Creek to drop off the mines day shift. Looks like the combine has gotten a coat of paint recently.
Its evening, and No6 is ready to make one more roundtrip to the mine.  No4 has taken on water and is backing the combine to the station No4 has crossed the Anns Creek trestle and is heading into Summit Curve.
