This site has been set up to pay tribute to the Slam Door units that are currently operating on the Southern Region as well as one remaining 1st generation DMU at Chiltern Railways. These reliable units have given solid service for many years and are now being replaced by new "Electrostar" and "Desiro" units. On this site you find a little bit of information about the surviving units, a class guide  and the remaining diagrams  for the relevant TOC's.
