The Cape Fear Railroaders/Cape Fear Chapter #133, of the National Railway Historical Society Inc., is the local Railfan and Model Railroading club in Fayetteville, NC. We are incorporated as a non-profit Historical and Educational organization, dedicated to keeping the history of railroading alive.
Our Mission
Chapter ProfileThe Cape Fear Railroaders/Cape Fear Chapter #133, of the National Railway Historical Society Inc., sponsors and operates the Atlantic Coast Line Depot Railroad Historical Center. We are always looking for people, like you, who enjoy railroading. Members enjoy railroad history, historical preservation, railfaning (watching trains), slide and video presentations, and discussion of rail-related topics. Past activities have included running a model railroad show and sale, trips to other rail museums and shows, and operating a model railroad displays at the mall and country fair. Future activities planned are the future development of the Historical Center, getting and restoring a Caboose, Railfan trips, and to take model layouts to shows around the area.
