Modular model railroading is a primary club activity and represents the practice of building 2'x4' (or 2'x6') dioramas or modules (many replicating Cape Cod scenes) containing track and scenery, built to a set of specifications which allow the units to be joined together, creating a large mobile layout. The modular division travels to many area train shows throughout the year, as well as Chatham's First Night celebration. It allows members with limited space and free time to enjoy and take an active part in the hobby
