In March 2006, UP 5000 leads an eastbound train toward downtown El Paso. Photographed from Yandell Dr. above Interstate 10 west of downtown, this location provides an excellent view of Mexico as a backdrop behind the train. Everything visible behind the BNSF grain hoppers (which are hugging the eastern bank of the Rio Grande) is in Mexico. The Rio Grande is visible above the middle of the second locomotive.
