BNSF dispatchers in the NOC are on the Windows NT system. These computers contain various Microsoft Office applications in addition to the dispatching applications such as the TSS (Transportation Support System) screens and the CAD (Computer Assisted Dispatching) train sheet screens. During times of severe weather, alerts, warnings, and updates which pertain to each individual dispatching territory are sent automatically to the NT computer, prompting a flashing bar or pop-up window depending on the severity of the weather situation.
