The UP has stood as one of the greatest Railroads to this day.  They built half the transcontinental railroad from Omaha to Promontory where they met the Central Pacific.  Now in this day of age the UP is having problems with to many trains and not enough crew men and the yard in West Colton is unsuitable for trains of today resulting in overcrowded traffic from West Colton all the way to Cajon Pass.
