Train Painting

Santa Fe at Sunset


Working closely with Mr. Sullivan's Son, the artist created this scene to commemorate Mr. Sullivan's railroad career. He usually made "night runs" and this depicts his train departing the crew change point of Waynoka, Oklahoma, heading into a summer sunset.



Artist Bio:


S. R. Krueger worked 27 years for the Frisco, Burlington Northern and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. He has been painting for most of his life, mainly in watercolor. Steve enjoys working closely with his clients, to research and create custom pieces of art. Clients include BNSF Railway, Schneider National, National Rail Museum and various private individuals. He is currently working on a series of children’s train art. Steve resides in Green Bay, Wisconsin with his wife Sally.
