News Archive: 3rd quarter 2005

Sept. 30 — We've made another update to the expanded DMU coverage, this time adding the completed Comparison Page, which puts CRM's new commuter coach side-by-side with Bombardier's prolific bilevel coaches, and the DMU prototype against a classic Budd RDC. Enjoy!

Sept. 28 — Thanks to John Combs for sending several photos from his recent trip to Alaska, including roster photos of Holland America 1052 and 1053, Royal Celebrity 1004, and Princess 7084, 7086 and 7088.

Sept. 8 — We're back after quite a slow summer with some tidbits and updates from Colorado. Double decker DMU TRCX 703 and trailer TRCX 7001 are at Denver Union Station for forwarding to Dallas for the American Passenger Transit Association (APTA) convention Sept. 26-28. The two cars will be displayed on the convention center floor during the show.

Also, the remaining six Princess Tours cars that weren't rebuilt last winter will be upgraded over the coming winter. Car numbers are MSEX 7084, MSEX 7085, MSEX 7086, MSEX 7087, MSEX 7088 and MSEX 7089. The cars should start leaving Alaska at the end of the month for shipment to Seattle and Fort Lupton.
