As this is an extensive topic I've decided to give it a section all to itself.
Some of the work will be my own, but some will be contributed by others, many of whom have a much deeper knowledge of the technicalities than I.
As different lines have been upgraded so has signaling equipment, so, although all appearing broadly similar from where the Train Operator sits, the methods of control and operation varies. I hope to be able to bring you more of an insight into this as time progresses.
