Recent Modification

These plates have been appearing above the top front corners of the D78's cab doors in recent months - there are still a number of units to be so fitted, but the programme appears to be continuing apace!
The reason is that some minor fractures have appeared at this point - visible as a slight 'split' in the aluminium - heading upwards. A few cases have also been seen where the split also heads towards the front of the cab.
