Trainstop

Trainstop

An essential part of the signaling system on London Underground, the trainstop is the device that halts a train should it pass a signal at danger.
In this picture the trainstop head is raised, indicating that the signal to which it is associated is at Danger.
The hose which supplies compressed air to the trainstop when the signal clears and lowers the trainstop, is also visible.
