Proportion to the prototype: 1/64. By comparison O scale = 1/48, HO scale = 1/87 and N scale = 1/160.

Code .100 rail in S scale = 110 lb. rail in prototype.

Code .125 rail in S scale = 155 lb. rail in prototype.
