'These are largely self-explanatory. In 1975 (and I think for many years) there was little scheduled use of the bay platform at Plaistow. The Barbican and Plaistow photographs show what was, I think, the only passenger train timetabled to terminate at Plaistow. It was a Hammersmith & City working late afternoon. There is another photograph of a Sunday Circle working operated by District crews. COCP stock had to be used, because R stock was by then in permanent seven coach formations, so too long for some platforms.'
